Regenterra farms to rebuild the ground it works. The aim is soil that holds more carbon, water and life with each season, and farms that depend less on bought inputs as a result.

• Living soilCompost, vermicompost and farmyard manure returned to the fields; green manures and cover crops sown between harvests so the ground is never left bare.
• Rotation and diversityCereals rotated with pulses and legumes that restore nitrogen; mixed plantings in place of a single crop across whole holdings.

• Water held on the landRainwater harvesting, restored channels and drip irrigation, so that each season's water goes further.
• Native seedTraditional and heirloom varieties of the valley conserved, multiplied and grown again, for their resilience as much as their flavour.
• Integrated livestockAnimals kept as part of the farm's cycle, grazing cover crops and returning fertility to the soil.

The company works in three ways. It manages its own demonstration land, where methods are tested and results recorded. It partners with farming families through the years of transition, offering training, inputs and assured purchase. And it opens routes to market, including support toward organic certification where growers seek it, so that better practice is also rewarded in price.

The orchards of the valley are among its oldest inheritances. Regenterra works to renew them for the decades ahead: productive, healthy, and kinder to the soil and water they draw on.

Growers who work with Regenterra receive advisory support through the full cycle of the orchard year, from dormant pruning to post harvest care.

Journeys and stays kept small by design: farm stays, orchard and harvest seasons, walking routes and homes opened by local families. Visitor numbers are set by what the land and the community can carry, and a fair share of what travellers spend remains in the villages they visit.

The farm gives the traveller a reason to come; the traveller gives the farm a second livelihood; both depend on land kept in good health.
